I was exploring DTSLO and stumbled across this place while looking for an economy friendly lunch. There were so many options in the neighborhood, but I settled on Japanese because I knew it would be a balanced mea between light and filling. . It was right before the lunch hour on a Thursday so the place was empty initially and has ample seating including a patio and space heaters. I perused the menu and saw they had daily specials one of them being a hand roll which is like a sushi burrito with deep fried salmon and avocado. I ordered that along with a green tea and miso soup. These three were the perfect trio for my small appetite. The miso was hot and steamy and so was the tea. I quickly filled up on my liquids and then inhaled the hand roll. The quicker for it all was the check. A grand total of 11.78 (which I correctly calculated before my server brought it over to me ) finding a meal for under 12 in today's financial market is damn near unheard of so I was happy to see they have budget friendly deals. . Definitely check this place out if you're in Downtown San Luis Obispo and want a quick lunch that keeps your pockets and belly full too!

Incredible value, taste and freshness for the price! This place is small but the quality is top notch. We had edamames, poke bowls and a special cali roll. Everything came on time and with great portions. 100% recommended!

I love this place - the sushi chefs are always so fun and ready to have a great time, the servers are dope and always friendly the foood definitely I come here at least once a week, and every time it’s always bomb. Check out their Late night menu too it’s CLUTCH ...

The price is unbelievable as someone who came from LA to SLO especially for what I got. The food was amazing and like I already knew that the service would be a little slow if I came midday so I was prepared to wait a little for the food (it is just because there aren't many people midday so there are not that many staff which makes perfect sense). Also the plating was beautiful (I was so excited for this though I forgot to take a picture ahhh) which was a plus. Everyone working the day I went was so nice too (I think it was last Monday 2/2/25). Anyways, will be coming here again next time I am in town!

Had a brilliant time at Shin’s this evening, Sat at the bar with Aramis, Raddy and Luke who were great. Servers were very attentive. We had a wonderful time and the sushi was extremely high quality. Especially the scallop!!

The food was great. I am a sushi enthusist, and the fish on the Nignigiri was amazing, fresh, and more actual fish than any other that I have had. The uni and sweet scallops were fantastic! Our server Kenny was terrific, good character, and very helpful. We will be back!
